    The single most useful thing I've learned from the old Tradewinds forums is that you can buy for and sell from your Warehouse directly, without transferring through the Ship. When you select the Marketplace, you just click the Warehouse box on the display, and then everything applies to it instead. Yes, that may have seemed obvious to you. It doesn't to everyone.
